Math

For my math, I did stage 7 Green Book. Walt: work out dividing. 

Page 86-89 

We had to do 4 challenges in the Green book and for pages in the Green book and a lot of dividing. We had to divide big numbers like 1000 or 200😤.

I worked with Temanaea for three days to finish the book it took so long to finish, I was very frustrated.

Goals

Reading: For my reading goal I want 
to practice my reading skills by reading books every day.

Maths: For my maths goal I want to learn how to do my decimals properly.

Sports: For my sports goal I want to be faster and better at all the sports that are school does.

Fred The Goat

Fred the goat is 20 days old. Danika's mom brought him into the classroom to show us, Fred,.  Fred likes to jump on peoples backs, jump around and he likes to get carried around. He jumped on Corban and Roman.

The 500-year-old leaning  tower of Pisa

The building took 344 years to build it took a lot of sacrifices. But when the tower was built in 1173, the tower started to lean in 1178. The tower was finally done in 1372. The height of the building is 55.86 meters high, (183.3 ft).  

The leaning tower of Pisa was built in Italy and it started to lean because of the soft ground so they started to put wait on the north side of the tower to try to even it out. But it didn't work so they had cables on the tower and they tied it to the cathedral on the north side. After that, they tried to freeze the ground so the tower wouldn't lean so much. It kinda worked but not really. The builders were panicking but then they decided to dig some soil up and put it on the north side that took one year to do.

The tower of Pisa was leaning thanks to the soft ground under the tower. It began leaning when the builders got to the third story, in 1178. The shifting soil made the building disabled and it started to shift and then it created THE TOWER OF PISA!. The person who designed/made the tower of Pisa is Bonanno Pisano. He was a famous designer/ artist. He was very famous for making the Leaning Tower of Pisa. A person that has a pee and a cannibal he dropped them from the tower of Pisa and they landed at the same time.

The tower of  Pisa is located in Italy and it was built by a cathedral but it did not lean to the north side where the cathedral was it leaned to the south side. The builders were panicking they didn't know what to do but then they tide some steel cables to the chat cathedral nearby. But it didn't really work you they had to freeze the ground with liquid nitrogen and put the weight on the north side to even it out properly, now it only leans a bit.

Pink Bubblegum Lake

PINK BUBBLEGUM LAKE!

On the middle island off the  Southern coast, Western Australia is Lake Hillier, one of Australia's most famous attractions The Pink Bubblegum Lake. In 2015 there were a group of researchers researching the Lake.They decided to investigate why the water was pink.In the past and now  people think that the pink water is because of high salt levels in the water so the so called ‘‘Lake’’ is maybe a ocean because of its salt level but it is probably a lake because the water can't escape into the real ocean.The lake is pink because the lake is a salt water lake and that makes a pink saltwater lake that attracts salt loving algae that eats stuff that float around in the lake like bacteria and other bad stuff.The pink lake sometimes will looks like strawberry milk,it’s also safe enough to swim inThe pink bubblegum lake is in the Southern coast Western Australia in Lake Hillier, a famous attraction in Australia.the bubblegum lake is place where the water is pink because of the high salt levels that are in the lake so that means that the lake is a salt water lake. I think that people can swim in the pink bubblegum lake because even know the water is a high salt level  it's like an ocean that is pink and bubbly.but it is impossible for tourist to swim in it because it can't be visited for some circumstance.The person who found pink bubblegum lake is Matthew Flinders.The lake was located on Middle island, off the Coast Western Australia.It must of been hard to find the bubblegum lakes because it is at lake heiller and it is at a island.The pink bubblegum lake started off as a normal lake that was fresh and a bluish color. And then the color of the lake was caused by the presence of high salt levels and stuff such as algae in the lake.

Cross country

It was a cold day at the Cutler farm.
Are cross country was today I was nervous.
We went in Therese’s mom's car and we drove out to the farm IT WAS MUDDY!. We were walking down the track neck-minute the truck was driving towards us and we ran but it was slippery so we slowed down and Poppy was riding a horse down the track who I thought was Alyx. I finally got to the actual farm and oh yes it was muddy alright. My shoes were already covered in mud even before I got on the actual track. We waited and waited until it was our turn. I was nervous but first, we took a photo. On your mark get set GO!. We ran through the mud. About a quarter of the race, I stepped in a ditch and I sprained my ankle so I started limping through the race and a man asked me if I was hurt and I said yes so I got a ride on the quad and we picked up another injured person. So we got a ride back to the finish line and waited for the rest of the races to finish. I got some cold spray on my ankle. Right at the end of all the races, it started to rain so we all went out I got a ride on the quad up because of my ankle. Mrs. Cutler drove me up the track saying “ambulance”  “ambulance”!, I thought it was funny. By: Manaia

THe rotten cream is yuck, gross, fishy

the rotten cream smells like

people after they have had a 3km run!,

it smells like deodorant ,

it smells deadly

It looks like a BIG bird poop in a bottle.

Goals/literacy/math

Spelling: I want to get better by sounding it out and using a dictionary to help find new words.

Ideas:I want to learn more about my literacy so i can get more ideas about the contract. 

Math:For math  i want to get my green book  done because i never do it i only do the blue book.

I did this well when im well in to my work and when im only focused on my work i do a great job.

I need to  work on my spelling by re writing them over and over it will get annoying but i will do i to improve on my writing  skills.

i did this writing well because all  my spelling is right and i did punctuation correct and i did it all in 20 minutes.

my reflection.

IMPROVED:this week i did my  basic facts. I should work on my basic facts at home. at the end i got through all of them and got 10 more then last time.

NAILED:I successfully nailed my riddles. They are brain testing things they are hard but i got through Them.  it made me feel frustrated but happy at the same time because I finished them.

are bubble art

bubble art

We made bubble art it was so cool but it was very messy with the dye, the dye colors are green, orange, purple, red. We used bottles to make the bubbles we used dish washing liquid, sugar and water
it was so cool they turned out so good, I love making bubble art. We didn't make bubbles because we didn't have much for the bubbles.

1/2 cup of dishwasher liquid.
1/2 cup of water.
Two teaspoons of sugar.
Mix well.
Add one teaspoon of dye.
And a piece of paper.

It was so fun but very messy, I love bubble art its so fun to try new things every day, we got dye every where one of my friends stepped  in the red dye I was so funny she still has it on her foot maybe not right now I don't really know but after we did the bubble art we had a BIG clean up. The tarpaulin was so messy it had dye every where, a couple of my other friends helped me clean the tarpaulin. We made labels to show who made the art. our bubble art were called Starburst and Blossom.

my favourite things

                                                                                                                                           My favourite place in New Zealand is  Wellington only because when its night all the building light up and it looks so cool. do you know what is the biggest city in new Zealand

My favurite movie is spirit horse because its all about horses and I love horses.


My favurite food is lasagna and burgers.the cheese on the lasagna is a mouth watering cheesy deluxe. burgers are worth dribbling  every were just to get a taste of heaven.
